ABOUT
I am a collegiate educator and a licensed therapist in South Carolina with
over 20 years of professional work experience including training and
workshop presentations. I received a bachelor’s in Social Work from
Limestone University and a master’s in social work from the University of
South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!
Additionally, I have worked in direct practice helping clients and their
families cope with substance use disorders, behavioral health emergency
services, trauma and crisis services,
grief and loss, self-esteem, chronic illnesses, spiritual conflicts, and life
adjustments. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, travel,
and winning Uno games.

Treatment Philosophy
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist
you in overcoming things that challenge you. I am committed to helping you identify strengths
and challenge maladaptive thinking and behaviors. Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling
and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
My therapeutic style is eclectic, warm, informative, and engaging. I believe in producing
dynamic change while using active intervention methods. Therapeutic platforms most
commonly used are motivational interviewing, motivational enhancement, cognitive-behavioral,
existential, and client-centered therapies.
